1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to My Compliance Guru (“MCG”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and GSTR-1 Desk service. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the service.

2. Description of the Service

My Compliance Guru currently provides a GSTR-1 Desk tool intended to help users process Excel or CSV data and generate GSTR-1-related JSON or Excel output.

The service may provide features such as:

• Selecting and processing Excel or CSV files in your browser.
• Preparing GSTR-1-related output files for download.
• Displaying summaries, counts, totals, errors, or warnings.
• Saving selected monthly records and related information to your account dashboard.
• Deleting saved records where the relevant functionality is available.
• The service is currently offered free of charge. We may modify, add, restrict, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law.

3. No Direct GST Filing or Government Affiliation

MCG is a preparation and export tool. It does not itself submit, file, or e-verify your GST return on the GST portal.

Downloading a JSON or Excel file from MCG does not mean that your return has been filed, accepted, or verified by the Government of India.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, MCG is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the GST Network (GSTN), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), or any government authority.

You remain responsible for reviewing the output and completing any required filing or verification through the appropriate official channel.

4. User Accounts and Account Security

Where account registration is available, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
• Keep your login credentials confidential.
• Use your account only with proper authorization.
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
• Avoid sharing access in a way that compromises your account or other users’ information.

You are responsible for activities carried out through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Your Files and Information

You retain responsibility for the files and business information you provide or process through the service.

You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and authority to use the files and information, including any client or third-party information they contain.

You must not use the service to process information unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, or violate applicable laws.

6. Accuracy and Verification of Output

MCG is intended to assist with data preparation. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, independent verification, or review of applicable GST requirements.

You are responsible for checking, before using any generated output:

• GSTINs and other party details.
• Invoice numbers and dates.
• Invoice values, taxable values, and tax amounts.
• Applicable tax classifications and reporting sections.
• Errors, warnings, missing fields, and other validation results.
• Compatibility with the current requirements of the official GST portal.

We do not guarantee that generated files will be error-free, complete, compatible with every portal update, or accepted by the GST portal.

7. No Tax or Legal Advice

Information and tools provided through MCG are for general assistance and data preparation. Unless expressly agreed in writing, the service does not constitute personalized tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.

You should consult a qualified professional when your circumstances require professional advice.

8. Saved Records, Deletion, and Backups

You may be able to save monthly records and associated information in your account dashboard.

Depending on system storage limits, a saved record may contain a summary only or a summary together with the generated GSTR-1 JSON.

Where deletion functionality is available, you may delete saved months or JSON records. You may also have the option to delete your account, subject to the process provided by the service.

You should download and verify any backup you need before deleting a record or account. We are not responsible for your failure to preserve business records that you choose to delete, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Deletion from the dashboard does not necessarily mean that all copies in backups, security logs, or other systems are immediately erased. Any applicable retention will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

9. Free Service and Future Changes

The service is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features, usage limits, or other changes in the future. Where required, we will communicate applicable pricing or material changes before they take effect.

We do not guarantee that the service or any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.

10. Intellectual Property

Subject to third-party rights, the website’s design, branding, software, text, logos, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to MCG.

You may use the service for its intended lawful purpose. You must not copy, reproduce, resell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the service or its protected materials except where permitted by law or with our written permission.

You retain the rights you have in your own files and business information. You authorize us to process such information only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

11. Prohibited Use

You must not:

• Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or saved records without authorization.
• Interfere with the service’s security, operation, or availability.
• Upload or process malicious code or files intended to damage systems.
• Circumvent access controls or misuse any technical limitation.
• Misrepresent MCG as an official government service.

We may take reasonable steps to investigate suspected misuse and restrict access where necessary, subject to applicable law.

12. Availability and Service Changes

We aim to keep the service available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical failures, hosting issues, security concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service, subject to applicable law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MCG will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

We do not guarantee the accuracy or acceptance of generated files and are not responsible for filing decisions made without appropriate review.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any rights or remedies that cannot be waived.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This clause does not apply to the extent a claim results from matters for which we are legally responsible.

15. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be processed, stored, and deleted.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Where applicable law requires notice or consent for a material change, we will follow the relevant requirements.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Courts having competent jurisdiction in Delhi, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to applicable law.
